What can you say. The tank should be yellow, the frame shouldn't be rusty, and the kickstart looks a bit limp. However it did run, and very well too.

The very popular Betor forks worked well and saved the factory the cost of designing and manufacturing their own.

Some say SWM stands for Speedy Working Motors. Whether true or not it is everywhere on the bike.

Colour scheme is very attractive and is there because blue happens to be the corporate colours of Pernod (a French alcoholic beverage) who were involved as sponsors with SWM.

SWM embossed saddles are expensive and you are only going to sit on it occasionally. Consequently this one was simply recovered.

Shape and placement of silencer means you can only use a slim suspension unit. Betors from Sammy Miller Products in the UK not only fit but work very well.

 Just another nice picture.

Replacement mudguards and side panels are available, tanks are not. This one took a lot of light sanding and polishing to get it to be the right colour never mind shiny.

The metal SWM tank badges were hand painted. Modified chain guard on the gearbox sprocket does a better job of keeping the chain from jumping off than the factory crescent shaped one.

A Rotax air cooled rotary disc valved engine provides plenty of smooth power. Unlike the MX engines it has points and condenser ignition.
